I’m not sure how old I was when Mom snapped this photo. My sister is in the background by Dad’s truck. Going by her height, she was probably six or seven which would have put my age at two or three. I seem to be fascinated by Mom’s shadow. Either that or I had dropped a mitten and didn’t want to pick it up. It would have been wet from the grass and little bit of snow that remained. Even as a toddler, I was fussy about everything. I would have rebelled at the thought of stepping on Mom’s shadow or picking up a wet mitten. Most likely Jude lent a hand and laughed at her silly, sissy, sister.
